Rutter’s Children’s Charities, Inc. supports charitable organizations that promote the success of the communities where Rutter’s operates.
Youth Sports Giveaway
We believe youth sports help children build their self-esteem and lower the risk for depression, loneliness, and suicide while helping them build lifelong social skills and friendships leading them to one day become active members of our communities.
Annually in April, we donate over $50,000 to local youth sports leagues/teams! View previous recipients.

May for Heros
We rely on our local community response teams to provide service to the members of our communities when they need it most.
Annually in May, we donate over $50,000 to local community emergency response teams!
If your organization provides emergency services in one of our communities, please submit your donation request by clicking Apply below. Submissions are open annually through April 30th.

Employee Programs
Ridge Scholarship
Eight $2,500 scholarships are available annually for Rutter’s employees or children of Rutter’s employees.
The scholarships are named in honor of Thomas R. and Laura Ridge, parents of former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge.
Secret santa
Each year, Rutter’s Children’s Charities selects a group of Rutter’s employees to choose a worthy charity for a $1,000 donation.
The program began in 2016, and has donated more than $450,000.

Rutter’s Children’s Charities is funded primarily through support from Rutter’s vendors for our Annual Golf Outing.
All of the money raised at these outings stays local to the communities we serve and benefits local children and other organizations.
